Vibrasense neuropathy screening device, by vibration perception threshold (VPT)

The AYATI Vibrasense is a handheld, rechargeable device that measures the vibration perception threshold (VPT), the lowest intensity of vibration a person can feel. It is used to assess large nerve fibre function in people at risk of peripheral neuropathy, for example in diabetic foot screening.

It tests six points on each foot and gives an average for each foot. Results go by Bluetooth to a companion app on a phone or tablet, which makes a printable, colour-graded report. A charge lasts 70 to 100 tests.
